The show is concluding in October this year, as the 83-year-old television personality ends her long career in front of the lens. "I have a lot of other things of interest," Sheindlin said in an interview with People. "I don't want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there." However, Sheindlin is not leaving television entirely; she is producing a new show titled Adam's Law in the same format as Judy Justice, starring her son, attorney Adam Levy.
The upcoming series is scheduled to premiere on September 14, 2026, marking nearly three decades since Judge Judy first debuted on television. Expressing full confidence in her son's abilities, Sheindlin noted, "There aren't a lot of people who can carry a half hour on their own unscripted. He has what it takes."
Sheindlin first rose to fame when Judge Judy premiered in 1996. The original program ran for 25 seasons before concluding in 2021, after which she transitioned to streaming with Judy Justice.
Her transition marks the end of an era for daytime courtroom television, paving the way for her new behind-the-scenes role in production while her legacy continues through her family.
