The leadership of Tehreek Tahaffuz Aiyeen-e-Pakistan (Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP)) Thursday discussed the political scene and matters related to parliament and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's long march on Sept 27. A delegation from the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), led by its chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, who is the vice-chairman of Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) and also Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, met Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the chairman of the opposition alliance and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, at his residence.

A brief statement issued by the opposition alliance said during the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on matters of mutual interest, the country's political situation and regional affairs. When contacted, Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) Spokesman Akhunzada Hussain said that Achakzai welcomed the prime minister's response to his letter about the appointment of new chief election commissioner and two members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Achakzai had penned the letter to the premier on August 10 and it was immediately followed by a visit by members of the federal cabinet, including Rana Sanaullah and Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
