Adria Arjona's Superman Transformation Is No Joke

Adria Arjona is getting ready for Man of Tomorrow - and apparently, Superman-level muscles don't come easy. The 34-year-old Onslaught star revealed that preparing for James Gunn's upcoming Superman sequel has completely changed her workout routine, leaving her with muscles she didn't even know she could have. "I have muscles that I've never had in my life," Arjona told ScreenRant. "I'm training two to three hours a day on a crazy diet."

There's one thing helping her survive the brutal schedule: coffee. Arjona admitted it's the "only thing that." The actress is also thrilled to be reuniting with Gunn and producer Peter Safran, who played a major role in launching her film career. Gunn wrote The Belko Experiment, which Arjona starred in, while Safran co-produced the 2016 movie.

"I'm excited to be reunited with the family that started everything for me, which is Peter Safran and James Gunn," Arjona said. "They gave me my first movie. I wouldn't have done any of the movies that we've spoken about today if not for them." Arjona later landed her breakout role as Bix Caleen in Andor, making the reunion even more meaningful.

"I wouldn't be in Andor if it hadn't been for Peter Safran and James Gunn, so it feels really cool and really exciting to reunite with that team and to be in that family," she said. Man of Tomorrow wrapped principal photography on August 26. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan return as Superman and Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult reprises Lex Luthor.
