Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan on Monday advised party lawmakers to avoid arrest and ensure their participation in the proposed September 27 long march.
In a message on her social media account, Aleema gave party MNAs and provincial assembly members two key instructions. "The proposed long march on September 27 is an important milestone for the success of the movement. In this regard, the implementation of the following points is very important," she wrote.
She requested all respected members of the national and provincial assemblies to avoid making themselves an easy target leading to arrest. "Your freedom is very important to play an effective role in the long march," she wrote. Addressing social media teams, she instructed: "All active youth, understanding the seriousness of this situation, should launch a special campaign to spread awareness, highlight strategies and prevent the risks of arrests."
"Solidarity, strategy and continuous struggle are the guarantee of our success," she emphasised. In a recent message to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi through his sister Dr. Uzma Khan, Imran Khan asked him to step up the movement and advance party activities robustly.
