The Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) has selected Albert Cheng of Amazon MGM Studios as its new chairman. The organization confirmed that its current leadership will remain in place as it prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary next year.
Cheng, who joined the HRTS board in 2024, serves as vice president and head of AI Studios at Amazon MGM Studios, where he focuses on integrating artificial intelligence into film and television production. He succeeds David Madden in the role.
Additionally, Tim McNeal will continue as president for another term, while CEO Melissa Grego has renewed her contract through 2028. Grego, who has led the group since October 2017, emphasized the importance of connecting professionals across the entertainment industry, including studios, networks, and streaming services, as the organization approaches its 80th year.
The remainder of the leadership team, including Vice President Christina Davis, Secretary Scott Hervey, and Treasurer Linnea McArt, will also retain their positions.
