Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has allegedly left the royals shocked with his latest decision after King Charles' reported invitation to the former prince. The former Duke of York has reportedly rejected the monarch's offer to join him and the royal family at Balmoral during their annual summer retreat.
Helena Chard, a British broadcaster and photographer, told Fox News Digital: 'Rather than spending the summer at Balmoral hidden away with the rest of the family, Andrew seems to be opting for time abroad with friends.' She added, 'Allegedly, he feels abandoned by certain family members.'
Hilary Fordwich appears to agree with Chard's points, explaining, 'Andrew isn't important anymore. No one is very concerned about how he's feeling. However, it's important to ensure he doesn't cause any more damage to the monarchy.'
A friend of the ex-royal told The Sun that Andrew feels he has been 'abandoned' and is no longer part of the family. Experts note that Andrew's rejection stems from a mixture of anger over past events, disdain for Charles, and ongoing tension with Prince William.
