Duchess Sophie Embraces Earthy Tones For Colourful Victoria Falls Adventure

The Duchess of Edinburgh has arrived in Livingstone for the fourth day of her Zambia tour, receiving a vibrant welcome before making a poignant visit to one of the country's most significant landmarks. Sophie was greeted by traditional Zambian dancers as she arrived at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport. The Duchess laid flowers at Victoria Falls Cenotaph in memory of those who lost their lives during the First World War.

The memorial stands within Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where she also visited the world-famous Victoria Falls. The spectacular site, whose name means "The Smoke That Thunders" in the local Lozi language, provided a beautiful backdrop to her tour of Zambia. Sophie was wearing a brown midi dress that had earthy tones to match with the landscape. .
