A media junket for "Sheroes", a new film presented by Geo Films and based on the struggles of three women, was held in Karachi. Actresses Zara Noor Abbas and Kinza Hashmi attended the event and spoke about their respective roles in the film as well as the state of Pakistani cinema.
Actress Kinza Hashmi said that Pakistan had no shortage of stories and that if more films were made, they could be taken to the international level. She said that in "Sheroes" she would be seen playing the role of an innocent artist, while Zara Noor Abbas would appear in an action-oriented role.
Speaking on the occasion, Zara Noor Abbas said that films based on women's stories should be made. She said that in "Sheroes" she had performed more technical scenes rather than extensive action sequences, adding that she would be seen performing more action scenes in her upcoming film.
"Sheroes" comprises three different stories. In the first segment, titled 'Punch', actress Ushna Shah plays the role of a boxer. Ushna Shah has previously appeared in the film 'Gunjal'. The second segment, 'Gear Up', features Zara Noor Abbas as a police officer. It is Zara Noor Abbas's third film, and she is returning to the big screen after nearly seven years. The third and final story, titled 'Artist', features Kinza Hashmi in the lead role. Kinza Hashmi has previously appeared alongside actor Imran Ashraf. "Sheroes" has been presented by Tamasha Films, while Orient Distribution is its release partner. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas on October 2.
