According to Netflix, the video footage is "100% captured from in-game footage on PlayStation 5" and represents "the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet." The official release comes following an anonymous leaker or group known as "Cyberleek" releasing numerous gameplay clips over the past week, including footage of protagonist Jason exploring a strip club, riding a bicycle through a crowded beach, and a nearly five-minute prologue cutscene showing Lucia leaving prison. Before the unveiling, a cover story by Dazed magazine revealed many important facts about the game.
