Howard Stern made a rare public appearance in the Hamptons on Wednesday night, resurfacing with wife Beth Stern amid the ongoing fallout from his ex-assistant's lawsuit against him. The couple attended John Mayer's SiriusXM performance at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, alongside fellow attendees Andy Cohen and Brooke Shields. In footage obtained by Page Six, the couple walked into the venue hand in hand, smiling for photographers. Howard kept his look casual in a navy button-up and black pants, while Beth wore a white tank top and skirt paired with a brown YSL cross-body purse. She later shared a selfie from the concert on Instagram, captioning it, "I'm in love," with a red heart emoji.
The outing marked Howard's first public appearance in roughly a year, his last had been at the same venue, for the launch of SiriusXM's Maximum Metallica channel on August 28, 2025. The date night comes months into a legal battle involving the couple and their former executive assistant, Leslie Kuhn, who sued them in April alleging a hostile work environment. Kuhn began working for Stern's SiriusXM program, The Howard Stern Show, in 2022 as an office manager before being promoted to executive assistant, she was terminated earlier this year.
In her lawsuit, she described the strain of managing the Sterns' Southampton home and helping Beth run an extensive at-home cat rescue and fostering operation, and alleged that Stern's production company, One Twelve, presented her with a nondisclosure agreement she claims she never actually signed. Kuhn argued that both her termination and the disputed NDA were "manufactured by the Defendants in general and Beth Stern in particular."
Stern, 72, pushed back forcefully, filing to dismiss the lawsuit and seeking $2.5 million in damages from Kuhn, calling her suit a "shakedown" and a "transparent sham" in court filings. His attorney told Page Six at the time, "The Sterns are entitled to enforce non-disclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life." Last month, the couple scored a legal win when a judge ruled against Kuhn's claim that the NDA had been forged.
