Husband, Employee Handed Over to Police on Physical Remand in Hina Javed Murder Case

A local court in Rawalpindi on Sunday remanded two suspects arrested in the Hina Javed murder case into police custody on physical remand. The victim's body was found in the bathroom of her home in Rawalpindi's Lalkurti area.

Police officials said she had been married to the main suspect, Faisal Asghar, for nine months. The police produced Asghar and a domestic worker, Zeeshan, before the magistrate and sought their physical remand.

The investigating officer stated that they recovered a rope and wire allegedly used in the crime from the suspects. Samples from both suspects were also collected for DNA testing, police added.

Approving the request, the magistrate sent the suspects into police custody on a 3-day physical remand. Police further stated that the father of the main suspect, Faisal Asghar, has also been included in the investigation and his statement recorded.
