Jessica Alves Says She Does Not Regret Loving Ex German Boyfriend

TV personality Jessica Alves has been keeping her distance from the spotlight for the last two years after falling in love with a German engineer named Matthias. Jessica, 43, known for her love of cosmetic enhancements, has opened up about her heartbreak in an interview with the Daily Mail after announcing her split from Matthias.

She claimed that he preferred his independence over building a future together. The influencer has now moved on with her life and is planning a comeback after moving back to London full-time.

She told the Daily Mail: 'I spent years building my career around the world and then I fell in love and wanted to give my personal life a genuine chance. I've always been messed around by men in the past who wanted to use me and I never thought I would be worthy of being with someone who loved me for me.'

'But I don't regret loving somebody. But I've learned you should never minimise yourself while trying to build a life with somebody else.

For once, I wanted to just be the girlfriend.' She added: 'I was close to his family and friendship circle and he was close to mine too. We travelled extensively together and I was content for the first time in life.'

'I wanted to wake up beside the man I loved, travel together, spend time with our families and friends and believe we were building something permanent.' As the relationship became increasingly important, Jessica says she consciously reduced television, press and public appearances. 'I chose my personal life,' she said. 'At that point I genuinely believed love and building a future together were more important.'

Reflecting on the split, she said: 'Matthias had many beautiful qualities. He could be incredibly caring, loving, affectionate and consistent.

In many ways he treated me better than a lot of men I'd encountered before. I loved him very deeply.' However, during their last trip to Sicily, they got into an argument, with Jessica wondering if he had met someone else, leading to their breakup.

Jessica first began talking to the German engineer at the end of 2024 before meeting him in person in January 2025. The relationship progressed rapidly, with both parties initially committed to a long-term future.

Despite the painful conclusion, Jessica remains optimistic about her future in London and her professional career. She is currently focusing on her health and personal growth as she transitions back into the public eye.

The star has faced significant media scrutiny throughout her career, but this recent period of privacy was a deliberate choice to prioritize her emotional well-being. She noted that while the heartbreak is significant, the lessons learned during her time with Matthias have provided her with a new perspective on her own worth and the importance of maintaining her identity within a relationship.

As she prepares for her comeback, fans are eager to see what the next chapter holds for the television personality. Jessica has promised to share more about her journey in upcoming projects, emphasizing that she is ready to embrace new opportunities while carrying the wisdom gained from her past experiences.

Her return to London marks a significant turning point, as she balances her desire for a private life with the demands of her public persona. Jessica remains a polarizing yet influential figure in the entertainment industry, and her candidness about her personal struggles continues to resonate with her global audience.

Ultimately, Jessica Alves's story serves as a reminder of the complexities of modern relationships, especially for those living in the public eye. Her journey from a high-profile career to a quiet life in Germany and back to London highlights the constant search for balance between personal happiness and professional success.
