King Charles' cancer treatment has forced him to take extra measures while travelling. The 77-year-old monarch can not travel like other royals anymore as he undergoes special treatment to avoid untoward situations due to his health condition. His elaborate travel demands are said to be becoming increasingly important.

Prince William and Prince Harry's father has maintained strict routines and personal travel demands during cancer treatment while continuing an extensive program of engagements. He allegedly takes everything from his orthopedic bed and personal toilet seat to preferred whisky and food when staying away from royal residences.

Considerable preparations are reportedly required to recreate the familiar surroundings of the royal residence while traveling, with Queen Camilla, 79, also said to take preferred bedroom furnishings on trips. Charles has always been incredibly particular about his environment, but there is a feeling these requirements have become even more important while he is receiving treatment. Familiarity, comfort and routine matter enormously when his schedule remains demanding, so staff want everything arranged precisely before he arrives, a royal source told Radar.

Biographer Tom Bower wrote that Charles once sent his staff ahead a day early with a truck carrying furniture to replace the perfectly appropriate fittings in guest rooms, adding that the vehicle contained complete bedrooms for Charles and Camilla, including the King's orthopedic bed and his own linen. Other belongings reportedly included a small radio, Charles's preferred toilet seat, specific toilet paper, bottled water and Laphroaig whisky.
