BISHAM: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Saturday urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and supporters to fully prepare for the party's long march scheduled for September 27, announcing that he would personally lead the procession.

Addressing participants of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) street movement rally in Bisham, the chief minister said the enthusiasm and passion shown by people from Battagram to Bisham demonstrated their complete readiness to achieve their objective.

He urged the participants to prepare for the September 27 long march, stressing that there was no room for negligence and that the protest must remain peaceful yet robust within the framework of the Constitution and the law. "On September 27, the entire Pakistan will be on the streets. It will be a day when people's power is truly demonstrated," he added.

Sohail Afridi maintained that if citizens stepped out with the same fervor on September 27, "no one will dare open fire on you." He asserted, "We are neither afraid nor will we step back or abandon our goal. Our leader and our future await us. We will come out for our leader and will not rest until his release."

The chief minister also expressed profound grief over the deaths of workers from Shangla in a coal-mine tragedy in Balochistan. He noted that the incident had deeply grieved the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reaffirming that the provincial government remains steadfast with the bereaved families. Additionally, he announced the expeditious construction of a hospital in Bisham.
