Bunny Levine, who made a guest appearance as Mrs. Thompson in a single episode of Gilmore Girls, has passed away at the age of 97. Known for her roles in La La Land and Law & Order, the actress breathed her last on Thursday, August 20, at her home in Tarzana, California.

Her longtime representative, Brandon Kjar, told People that she died in her sleep. "She was still auditioning at 97 and worked in June. She was a great and fearless actress and such a nice lady," Kjar described the late artist in an emotional tribute. Moreover, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said Levine's death appeared to be from natural causes, according to NBC4 Los Angeles.

After earning her first film role in 1990's Cadillac Man, opposite Robin Williams and Tim Robbins, she appeared in several TV shows, including Ugly Betty (2007), Criminal Minds (2006-2010), 2 Broke Girls (2011), Raising Hope (2012-2013), New Girl (2014), Shameless (2021) and Sprung (2022).

The late actress also starred in the films La La Land (2016), with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, and Adam Sandler's films You Don't Mess With the Zohan (2008) and Sandy Wexler (2017). Her last credited roles were in the 2026 film The Cure and short film Achiever, per IMDb.
