Liam Payne's Cousin Reveals Singer Called Him Hours Before Tragic Death

Liam Payne's cousin Ross Harris has shared his true feelings, revealing that he regrets missing the singer's final call just hours before his tragic death. The One Direction star died aged 31 on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, with toxicology reports later finding alcohol and cocaine in his system.

Speaking candidly about the star's final moments and his tumultuous relationship with fame, Ross reflected: 'He had everything and nothing at the same time.' Appearing on television on Thursday to promote his new charity single 'Bones,' Ross revealed that Liam had attempted to reach him shortly before the tragedy.

'He called me in the afternoon our time. I was in a session with Jordan Rams, with whom I wrote the song. My phone was down, so I missed it, saw it a few hours later, and thought I would call him back,' Ross shared. Although he attempted to return the call once their session concluded, it was already too late.

He explained that while the initial circumstances were hard to accept, it brings some comfort to think Liam simply wanted a casual chat. He added that the missed call will remain a regret that lives with him forever. Liam was only 16 years old when he soared to international fame on The X Factor as part of the global phenomenon One Direction.
