Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed her happiness and pride after her youngest daughter Mahnoor Safdar completed her graduation from SOAS University of London in Anthropology, saying that there could hardly be a greater moment of happiness for parents than seeing their children complete their education. Maryam Nawaz attended Mahnoor Safdar's graduation ceremony in London during her brief private visit to the British capital.

Mahnoor Safdar, the youngest of Maryam Nawaz and Captain Muhammad Safdar's three children, studied at SOAS University of London between 2023 and 2026. She is likely to be married soon in Lahore. Maryam Nawaz travelled to London specifically to attend her daughter's graduation and kept the visit private, with no formal political engagements announced during the short stay.

Earlier, she met Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) UK leaders Ahsan Dar and Khurram Butt for a luncheon meeting. Responding to questions about reports of differences within the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the ongoing debate over the creation of new provinces and administrative units, Maryam Nawaz rejected suggestions that her party was divided, adding that many people had previously tried to divide the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) but the party remained standing and united.

On governance, Maryam Nawaz said other provinces should also work in the same manner as Punjab and argued that visible results required sustained effort and hard work. She said her government was working day and night for development and public welfare in Punjab and that governments had to work hard if they wanted their performance to be visible to the public.
