Miley Cyrus is facing a blast from the Disney Channel past. Former Disney teen star Jordan Pruitt has accused Cyrus of bullying her years ago, claiming the singer allegedly left cruel voicemails with a friend criticising her appearance and dance skills. The allegation surfaced in an Instagram comment, with Pruitt responding to an old video that allegedly showed Cyrus making fun of Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.
"This is how Miley treated everyone back in the day including me lol," Pruitt wrote. When a fan asked her to "give us the tea," Pruitt went into more detail. "Miley used to call me and leave me nasty voicemails with her and her friend named Mandy saying I needed a nose job, new teeth, and a choreographer lol," Pruitt claimed. She ended the comment by describing Cyrus as "relentless." A screenshot of the exchange reportedly collected more than 1,000 likes.
Pruitt, 35, is no stranger to Disney-era drama involving Cyrus. In March, she reportedly claimed in another Instagram comment that her 2008 song Boyfriend was inspired by the Hannah Montana star. At the time, Pruitt was rumoured to have dated Nick Jonas, while Cyrus and Jonas were together from 2006 to 2007. Neither romance was publicly confirmed. Pruitt toured with major Disney acts including the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and the Cheetah Girls before stepping away from music in 2017.
Her career later took a serious turn when she sued Disney, Hollywood Records and former manager Keith Thomas in 2019, alleging sexual abuse that began when she was 14. Thomas and Disney were accused in the lawsuit, while Pruitt also criticised the companies for failing to protect young performers. For now, Pruitt's latest claims remain allegations - and Cyrus has not publicly responded.
