Noah Kahan teases major 'Hunger Games' part ahead of movie release

Noah Kahan is keeping details under wraps, but he has secretly been working on a major project behind the scenes, which fans have been speculating about for months. The 29-year-old indie-folk musician attended the Emmy Awards and was asked about an 'exciting' venture that fans believe to be a soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

When asked to share details, the Northern Attitude hitmaker said, "I can't tell you any more really, but uh yeah, we've got something. I got that thing on me right now. I got something in the works. I can't speak much about it. My publicist will throw me into the trash can over there, but very excited about what we have and it was a really cool opportunity."

When the interviewer noted that Kahan could be competing for an Oscar for best original song, he did not deny the possibility and smiled at the camera, joking that it could even be for the best actor category, despite not attempting to act.

Fans immediately flocked to social media, with one writing, "Noah Kahan doing a Hunger Games soundtrack just feels inevitable at this point - like the folk angst to dystopian pipeline is real and he's been on it since Stick Season." Another exclaimed, "This is what I've been waiting for, give it to me," while a third chimed in, "If this is true, I'm dead, OMG." Another fan declared, "This is a nationwide emergency."
