Former Pakistan Test and ODI cricketer Jalaluddin has said that a lot of runs have been scored against Pakistan in the ongoing series in England and the conditions of the wicket are also very difficult for their batters, who are not technically sound on such tracks. He said the batting abilities of Pakistan's batters have been severely exposed.

Jalaluddin said that he had been saying for a long time that Pakistan's batsmen are not good enough to cope with difficult pitches against good fast bowlers, and whenever such conditions arise, their batting abilities are exposed. He was of the view that if flat and slow pitches were prepared in England, Pakistan's batsmen would have scored a pile of runs and centuries.

"When the ball moves, swings and seams sharply, they cannot score runs," he added. Jalaluddin said that Pakistan's bowlers bowled well, but they also could not contain England's lower-order batsmen, who scored valuable runs to build pressure on the Pakistan team.

He said that Pakistan should admit that its cricket system is not producing quality cricketers. They are average players who perform well when conditions suit them and the opposition teams are weak.
