The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victim as 22-year-old Mikquale Cooper, who was fatally shot Sunday morning in Fuller Park. A representative associated with AMF Music Group confirmed Cooper was the rap artist who performed as BloodHound Q50, per the Chicago Sun-Times.
According to Chicago police officials, Cooper was inside a car at around 4 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Wentworth Avenue when two vehicles approached and several occupants opened fire on him. Cooper sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder and was treated by the Chicago Fire Department, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
