Sarah Ferguson Opens Up About Inner Demons in Resurfaced TV Interview

Sarah Ferguson made a candid admission about her struggle with sleep and the psychological reasons behind it. In a resurfaced interview following her divorce from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Fergie spoke with Canadian TV host Dini Petty on CTV about her unusual sleeping habits, shedding light on her long-standing fear of sleeping with her eyes closed and how she ultimately overcame it.

"I sat up in bed and slept with my eyes open because I was so scared of the dark," Sarah shared during the interview. "I thought that if I slept with my eyes open, I could see any spooks coming towards me." She added, "I realised that my fear of the dark was my fear of the demons inside myself and the black treacle, my fears and anxieties that were inside myself."

The mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stated that she survived her ordeal by confronting her inner demons head-on. "Suddenly I realised that it is all alright really. It's a long way, and it's a big battle, but I am here, and it is alright," she added.

Her revelations have since drawn widespread attention across various media platforms, prompting discussions about mental health and personal resilience. Observers have noted how revisiting these past struggles highlights the ongoing journey of self-acceptance.
