One of Hollywood's most recognisable Marvel stars has decided her friend belongs in the superhero universe. Scarlett Johansson wants Jonathan Bailey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
"I want to see Jonathan Bailey in every universe!" she reportedly declared, expressing her enthusiasm for seeing her Jurassic World Rebirth co-star take on a role in the superhero world. The sentiment has resonated deeply with fans across the globe.
One fan praised Johansson's suggestion, writing, "Queen really has taste!" While others were quick to suggest a character for the Bridgerton star. "Maybe he will play Nova Prime Richard Rider," one wrote, while another agreed, "He would be great as Richard Rider/Nova."
For the unversed, Johansson is no stranger to Marvel. For years, she brought Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to life, becoming one of the franchise's defining faces.
Her portrayal set a high bar for action-oriented performances in the genre. Although Natasha's story ended in Avengers: Endgame, Johansson's connection to the Marvel universe remains an important part of her career.
Her endorsement of Bailey carries significant weight within the industry. Bailey, meanwhile, has built an impressive resume including Bridgerton and Wicked.
His versatility as an actor has earned him critical acclaim and a massive following, making him a prime candidate for high-profile roles. A potential MCU appearance would introduce him to yet another blockbuster universe.
The prospect of seeing him in a superhero suit has already sparked intense speculation on various social media platforms. It is pertinent to note that no Marvel casting announcement has confirmed such a move.
Marvel Studios is known for keeping its casting choices under wraps until the official reveal. As the industry watches, fans continue to debate which character would best suit Bailey's acting style.
Whether he joins the MCU or not, his career trajectory remains on an upward path. The collaboration between Johansson and Bailey in their upcoming project has clearly fostered a strong professional bond, leading to this public show of support.
