Selena Gomez teams up with Sean Hayes for Rare Impact Fund event

Pop icon Selena Gomez is teaming up with Sean Hayes for a cause close to her heart. The pop star announced on Monday, August 24, that the actor and comedian will emcee the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit, set to take place on October 14 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The event will raise funds for youth mental health organisations as part of the fund's mission to mobilise 100 million dollars to expand access to mental health services and education worldwide.

In a press release, Gomez - who founded Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund in 2020 - said the work remains deeply personal to her. The 34-year-old singer stated, "The Rare Impact Fund means so much to me. One of the things I've learned through this work is how much it can mean for a young person to have someone in their corner, especially during the moments when they feel most alone."

She added, "This night is about making sure more young people have that kind of support and celebrating the organisations that make it possible every day. I'm so grateful to Sean for being part of it with us this year." Last year's benefit raised more than 2 million dollars through sponsors and exclusive auction items, while Gomez and her husband Benny Blanco continue to champion community initiatives together.
