Isabelle Sava, a Taekwondo champion and aspiring lawyer, died unexpectedly in her sleep at age 19 on August 17, 2026. Just two days after her passing, a GoFundMe page, created for her parents by Sava's family friend Adriana Agache, claimed she died after suffering an unexpected cardiac arrest. In the fundraiser post, Agache reflected on Isabelle's death as completely unexpected, stating that emergency responders fought desperately to resuscitate her and save her life. Tragically, despite everything they did, Isabelle could not be saved, the heartbroken Agache wrote.

However, Sava's friend didn't provide further details as to what caused Isabelle's cardiac arrest. Isabelle's close friend mentioned the reason why this fundraising page was created: in order to help her parents cope with the financial costs that followed her sudden death. Nothing we raise can take away their pain, nothing can replace Isabelle, and nothing can give Laura and Ovi back the future they should have shared with their daughter. But together, we can surround them with love, kindness, and support and take at least one burden from their shoulders during the darkest time of their lives, Agache detailed.

Isabelle was about to start her second year of law studies at Queen Mary University of London before she died unexpectedly. Isabelle spent almost a decade of her life training for Taekwondo and finally managed to earn a second-degree black belt, starting to participate in international competitions.

The golden moment came in 2022, when Isabelle competed at the World Taekwondo Championship held in the Netherlands and earned a silver medal in sparring, according to the International Taekwondo Federation. She had also served as a police cadet and had completed the Bronze and Silver stages of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
