Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Sunday warned protesters against resorting to violence and what he termed "terrorism" during the planned demonstration in Islamabad, saying those involved would not be allowed to return. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar said the party would reach the capital through multiple routes.
"If you are a peaceful citizen, come to Islamabad from any route, come 100 times," Chaudhry said, warning that those who came "as terrorists" would not be allowed to return, as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to march to Islamabad on 27 September. The minister said the government would fully implement the Islamabad High Court's orders and would not tolerate any unlawful action that poses a threat to life and property.
Chaudhry also criticised the governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alleging that those planning the protest had failed to curb terrorism and ensure adequate health and education facilities in the province. "They say they will turn Islamabad into ruins. We know they have turned KP into ruins," he said, adding that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership had itself revealed its "real plan".
Meanwhile, sharing a video of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the party was seeking to create chaos and destruction, asserting that it did not believe in peaceful protests. Separately, addressing a workers' convention in Mardan, Junaid said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers would march towards Islamabad through multiple routes, including the motorway, GT Road, Margalla Hills, and Dera Ismail Khan.
