Tim Curry, the actor loved by millions of fans, has died at the age of 80. Curry was known for many famous roles, but he is best remembered for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The actor was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on August 25, according to TMZ. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
Curry had been dealing with serious health problems for many years. In 2012, he suffered a major stroke that left him partly paralysed and unable to walk normally. Despite his health problems, Curry did not completely step away from his career, spending much of his later years doing voice work and meeting fans at events.
His career began when he joined the London stage production of Hair in his early 20s. He later met Richard O'Brien, who created the role of Dr. Furter. Curry went on to appear in films including Annie, Clue and Home Alone 2. He also became famous for playing Pennywise in the 1990 TV version of Stephen King's It.
In 2025, he celebrated 50 years of Rocky Horror and released his memoir, Vagabond. His work touched many generations, and fans will remember him for years to come.
