Uplift Focus On All 41 Punjab Districts Maryam

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said the province's development focus is no longer limited to any particular city but extends to all the 41 districts. Speaking at a meeting with members of provincial assembly and ticket-holders from Multan, she said development projects were being planned for the first time according to population ratios. Green electric buses were introduced in far-flung areas of Punjab before being launched in Lahore.

A cancer ablation machine imported from China has been installed at the Nishtar Hospital, Multan, after its introduction at the Mayo Hospital, Lahore, and treatment has already begun. The machine would provide non-surgical cancer treatment not only to patients from Multan but also to those from other provinces. The meeting discussed development projects and public issues in Multan.

The lawmakers thanked the CM for the construction of Jalalpur Pirwala and Noraj Bhutta flood protection embankments in a record time. The chief minister agreed to a proposal for the construction of a bridge over the Chenab River between Shujaabad and Khan Garh and directed the authorities to examine a proposal for converting the existing jail site into a public park. She ordered expansion and redesigning of the Khanewal Road.

She directed that lawmakers be kept involved in development projects in their respective constituencies until their completion. The lawmakers expressed support for the chief minister and praised her government's development and law & order measures. They said the benefits of development had started reaching people and described the government's flood response and measures against land-grabbing groups as significant steps.

They said Punjab had emerged as an example of development and that the chief minister had taken a lead in the province's development. Meanwhile, the CM expressed appreciation for successful security operations against terrorists in Balochistan, in which 11 terrorists were killed in Panjgur and Chagai districts. The chief minister paid tribute to the security forces for killing five terrorists in Panjgur and six in Chagai.
