Celeste Rivas's Family Hits Back at D4vd's Shocking Money Claim

D4vd is facing mounting scrutiny in the tragic death case of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, recently submitted to a Los Angeles court that he could no longer afford his private legal representation. Consequently, his defense attorneys withdrew from the case, and a public defender was assigned to represent him.

Celeste's family has expressed strong skepticism over this financial claim. Their attorney, Patrick Steinfeld, stated that the family was "shocked" by D4vd's assertions of financial distress, pointing out the artist's massive commercial success in the music industry.

Highlighting D4vd's financial footprint, the lawyer noted that the singer boasts over 5 billion streams and approximately 16 million monthly listeners on a single streaming platform alone. He also drew attention to business ventures linked to the artist and funds reportedly transferred to his mother and manager. Meanwhile, D4vd's former legal team maintained that they continue to support him despite stepping down from the case.

The grieving family emphasized that their singular focus remains obtaining justice for the teenager. D4vd has continuously denied all charges related to Celeste's death and is scheduled to appear in court alongside his new public defender on 19 October as legal proceedings continue.
