Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has developed a fever. When contacted regarding Babar's health, team manager Naveed Akram Cheema confirmed the information but stated that there was no need to panic or be concerned.
Cheema said Babar was fit and there was no reason for alarm over the fever, adding that he was expected to recover soon. The development comes as the Pakistan team remains under severe pressure following two crushing defeats at the hands of England.
Babar was dismissed for low scores in the recent matches, while the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also taken major decisions following the defeats, including sending key personnel back to Pakistan.
Pakistan lost the first Test against England by an innings and 103 runs and the second by 194 runs to go 2-0 down in the three-match series, failing to score more than 200 runs in all four innings.
