The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of closely monitoring regional developments, particularly those with implications for peace and security, the Foreign Office said after the meeting.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Pakistan called for investing in women's leadership to secure a peaceful future. Ambassador Usman Jadoon, Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, addressed a high-level forum on the Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace, themed around women's leadership in promoting a culture of peace.
Highlighting that women are major stakeholders and victims in conflict, he stressed that sustainable peace requires their full participation in political processes, education, and justice, while reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to expanding women's role in peace and security.
