Jennifer Aniston's new romance is getting mixed reviews from her inner circle. The Friends famed star, 57, has been dating hypnotist Jim Curtis, 50, since sparking rumours in July 2025 after an intimate vacation in Mallorca, Spain. But not everyone is convinced in Aniston's friend circle. 'Some of Jen's friends aren't totally sold on Jim yet,' a source told Page Six.
'They worry he could be an opportunist and feel like he can come off a bit performative.' The insider added that her friends are 'protective.' 'Everybody adores Jen and just wants the best for her because she absolutely deserves the world,' the source said. 'At the end of the day, if she's happy then of course they're happy for her, but they're also really protective of her and don't ever want to see her get taken advantage of.'
Not all of the circle feels that way. Another insider quoted others have embraced the transformational coach. 'Others absolutely adore Jim and feel like he fits in seamlessly with their circle of friends,' the source said. 'They haven't seen Jen this happy in a long time and think Jen and Jim complement each other on so many levels.'
The couple has gone public in recent months. Aniston joined Curtis onstage Wednesday at NYC's 92nd Street Y to discuss his book, The Book of Possibility. Aniston made their relationship Instagram-official in November 2025, calling him 'very special, very normal and very kind.'
