Dyson Ltd. has ventured into oral care with the CameraJet, an AI-powered toothbrush equipped with a built-in camera and precision water jet technology. Founder James Dyson noted that the product was developed over six years by 661 engineers and 30 dental professionals, stating, "The gaps between teeth are the areas people consistently miss."
The device features a conical jet design for wider plaque removal coverage, operating at a lower pressure than traditional water flossers for gentle cleaning. Developed in collaboration with the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Dentistry, it specifically targets interdental spaces where plaque initially forms.
The toothbrush also incorporates a mouthwash system featuring a 12.5-milliliter built-in tank and an anti-gravity design that enables rinsing in any orientation. This combination allows for a comprehensive cleaning experience that goes beyond standard brushing routines.
Additionally, it supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to sync user data and provide real-time feedback through companion mobile applications. Market analysts expect this innovative product to disrupt the premium personal care technology sector.
