Gold prices increased by Rs11,200 per tola on Thursday in the local market following a sharp rise in the international market. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association stated that 24-karat gold rates reached Rs465,236 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs9,602 to Rs398,864. Gold rates increased by $112 to $4,427 per ounce in the international market.
Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.
Meanwhile, silver rates increased by Rs185 to reach Rs7,044 per tola, while 10-gram silver rates rose by Rs159 to settle at Rs6,039.
