Gold prices increased by Rs5,700 per tola on Saturday in the local market following an upward trend in the international bullion market. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the rate for 24-karat gold reached Rs482,936 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs4,972 to settle at Rs414,039 in trading across major cities.
In the international market, gold rates increased by $57 to reach $4,604 per ounce. Traditionally, domestic gold rates are adjusted with a $20 premium against international rates.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained unchanged, with per-tola and 10-gram prices standing firm at Rs7,379 and Rs6,326, respectively.
