Gold prices increased by Rs7,900 per tola on Wednesday in the local market following a robust upward trend in international bullion rates. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold reached Rs457,236 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs6,773 to settle at Rs392,006. In the global market, gold rates increased by $79 to reach $4,347 per ounce. Traditionally, domestic gold rates are adjusted with a $20 premium against international market rates.
Meanwhile, silver rates also witnessed an upward trend, increasing by Rs140 to reach Rs6,942 per tola, while the price of 10-gram silver rose by Rs120 to stand at Rs5,951.
