The King honoured the nation as he sent a hopeful and uplifting message on the occasion of the 64th Independence Day of Trinidad and Tobago. Addressed to President Christine Kangaloo, Charles extended his warmest congratulations as he shared how he is deeply proud of the role he plays for both nations.
It is with sincere appreciation that I reflect upon the enduring partnership between our nations, rooted in the shared values and mutual respect that define our Commonwealth, and enriched by the community of 25,000 Trinbagonians who call the United Kingdom home, he stated. I remain deeply proud of the role our family of nations plays in fostering understanding, cooperation and opportunity across the globe.
He also recalled his 2008 visit to the nation and how he experienced the country's remarkable biodiversity. He highlighted how the younger generations continue to inspire hope and progress and reaffirmed his efforts to chart a course for the future, noting that mutual cooperation remains vital for both countries.
