Lorde shared a full-circle moment with fans during her performance at the All Points East music festival, where she performed early hits from her albums Melodrama and Pure Heroine. The 29-year-old pop superstar addressed the crowd before performing one of her fan-favourites, The Louvre, and gave an unexpected shout-out to an attendee.
The hitmaker told fans, "I first came here in 2024 with a guy I had a crush on," adding, "he's here tonight." Videos from the set surfaced online, with social media users flocking to the comments to share their astonishment.
One wrote, "The way she said 'and he's here tonight' like it's nothing." Another added, "Imagine being Lorde's old crush and hearing The Louvre live right in front of you." A third chimed in quoting the song's lyrics, "They will hang us in the Louvre down the back, but who cares, still in the Louvre."
Another user noted, "The way she performs The Louvre live with this dramatic choreo is top tier...", while a fan joked, "Quick, someone check on Jack Antonoff," referring to her past relationship history in a lighthearted manner.
