A Bucks County man has been handed a prison sentence for shooting at a DoorDash driver over a late cheesesteak delivery. Keilan Marshal McKeever appeared before Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr at the Bucks County Justice Centre in Doylestown on Tuesday, September 15. A judge delivered the verdict, sentencing the 33-year-old Keilan McKeever to a four-to-10-year jail sentence for the 2025 shooting incident.
Judge Steven Corr said while delivering the sentence that he had considered giving McKeever of Richlandtown even more prison time, citing the disgusting nature of the case. We have a young man out trying to make money, providing a service to you, the judge observed regarding the unprovoked attack that endangered the delivery worker's life.
McKeever pleaded guilty to several charges, including assault, and was ordered to pay the victim $2,288 in damages and undergo a mental health checkup. The delivery driver, who was 19 at the time, alleged McKeever opened fire at his car while the driver was just starting to leave the home in Richlandtown after delivering the food.
The incident took place on March 22, 2025, near First Avenue and Cherry Street in Richlandtown. The victim, a college student working at DoorDash (ڈور ڈیش) to support family finances, remained unhurt during the shooting, which prompted widespread local attention regarding the safety of gig economy workers.
