Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid tribute to Rescue 1122 rescuers and hospital emergency staff for their humanitarian services, emphasizing the critical role of timely first aid in saving precious lives. She noted that first aid is indispensable during accidents and emergencies, underlining the need to foster public awareness about basic medical practices to build a safe and healthy society.

The chief minister stated that the Punjab government is utilizing all available resources to safeguard lives during crises and is taking comprehensive measures to enhance emergency medical services. Highlighting Punjab's pioneering role, she noted that the province launched an air ambulance service to ensure patients receive treatment during the vital "golden hours" following an emergency.

She added that rescue and first-aid services have also been extended to flood-affected areas through mobile clinics, field hospitals, and boat clinics. The government remains fully committed to expanding the reach of emergency infrastructure to remote and vulnerable populations across the province.

Reaffirming that Rescue 1122 operates round the clock to provide immediate medical assistance to accident victims, the chief minister stressed that every citizen - particularly youth and students - must be equipped with basic first-aid training to effectively handle unforeseen situations.
