Pakistan Navy Seizes 750m Narcotics

The Pakistan Navy has seized a huge cache of narcotics in the Arabian Sea valued at $750 million. Under the ambit of Maritime Security Operations, Pakistan Navy Ships Hunain and Yarmook conducted a joint major counternarcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at about $750 million, a Pakistan Navy spokesman said in a statement on Saturday. Undertaking routine patrolling, a suspicious boat was intercepted and a boarding operation was conducted.

During the course of investigation, over 2,800 kgs of narcotics were recovered from concealed compartments of the vessel. This remarkable achievement reflects the Pakistan Navy's sustained surveillance, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to regional maritime security, global peace and the fight against illicit trafficking at sea. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has commended the PN officers for their professionalism, vigilance and dedication.

He emphasized that the Pakistan Navy remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard national maritime interests and good order at sea while continuing to contribute towards the safety and security of the global commons.
