Pakistan's Women's Under-19 cricket team has launched its preparations for next month's tri-nation T20 tournament, with a training camp currently underway at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. The camp features a 20-member prospective squad, with players participating in intensive fitness sessions, tactical drills and intra-squad practice matches. The training programme is designed to enhance match readiness and provide the young players with valuable competitive exposure ahead of a busy international calendar.
The upcoming tri-series, scheduled to run from October 2 to October 16, 2026, will be hosted at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, and will feature Pakistan U19, Bangladesh U19 and Sri Lanka U19. The tournament is expected to offer a high-quality platform for emerging cricketers from all three nations to test themselves under international conditions. The series will serve not only as a competitive tournament but also as a crucial preparation exercise ahead of the forthcoming Women's U19 Asia Cup and the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup.
Team management is particularly focused on strengthening the side's middle-order batting resources while refining tactical plans and match strategies. The camp's combination of skills training, fitness work and match simulations is intended to help selectors identify the best balance for the squad before the tournament gets underway. Hosting the event on home soil is also expected to provide Pakistan's young players with a valuable opportunity to gain international experience in familiar conditions while continuing their development against quality opposition from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The Tri-series is slated for October 2-16, at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
