Rule of Law, Economic Reforms Key to Pakistan's Recovery: Gohar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Sunday said that the solution to Pakistan's multifaceted crises lies in the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, political stability, and result-oriented economic policies.

He made these remarks during a meeting with Khalid Nawaz Sudhraich, Central Information Secretary of the PTI Kissan Wing. Gohar pointed out what he alleged was a sharp contradiction in government policies, noting that while state officials are inviting overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country, existing investments in the crucial agricultural sector are being severely discouraged.

The PTI chairman emphasised that the party was fully cognisant of the fundamental challenges and economic hardships facing the nation, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to championing public issues, economic distress, and particularly the grievances of the farming community on every available platform, including parliament.

Commending the constant efforts of the PTI Kissan Wing in advocating for agricultural reforms, he highlighted that farmers play a pivotal role in sustaining the national economy and ensuring food security. He stressed the urgent need for a comprehensive and effective agricultural policy that guarantees fair compensation for farmers' labour while boosting overall crop yields.
