Simon Cowell is reportedly undergoing back surgery that will force him to be absent from America's Got Talent for several weeks. The famous reality show judge, 66, injured his back in 2020 during an electric bike stunt at his home in Malibu, California. As a result, he underwent extensive surgery, with a metal rod inserted into his back to stabilise it.
Since then, he has not fully recovered and has feared that he might never walk again. TMZ claims Simon won't be able to judge America's Got Talent for several years.
It comes after Simon said last year that his surgeon feared he would not be able to walk again following his life-threatening bike crash.
Speaking to Elizabeth Day on the How To Fail podcast, Simon revealed he 'could have died' in the accident and his surgeon warned him he might never walk again.
