Zara Larsson is drawing a line at being called a new artist. The Swedish pop star has pushed back against the idea of being submitted for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards, arguing that the label overlooks the 13-year career she has already built.
Speaking to Perfect Magazine, Larsson recalled her former label suggesting a submission for the category, to which she immediately replied that she wanted no part in it.
The pop sensation emphasized that her extensive discography, global hits, and years of hard work should not be undermined by boxing her into a category meant for debut acts.
