Blake Lively's Beverage Business Faces Uncertain Future

Blake Lively's beverage business may be losing its fizz, with fresh questions emerging regarding the future of her brands, Betty Buzz and Betty Booze. The actress launched Betty Buzz in 2021, offering non-alcoholic drinks, before introducing an alcoholic line, Betty Booze, in 2023.

A report from TMZ suggests the business could be quietly winding down, although no official closure has been announced. According to the outlet, two trademark applications connected to the Betty Buzz name were abandoned on 14 September 2024, after the company failed to submit required statements of use.

Other trademark applications linked to beer-based and non-alcoholic products have also reportedly been abandoned. However, it is not yet time to write off the brands entirely.

Betty Buzz maintains an active trademark registration, and abandoned applications do not automatically signal a business closure. There are, however, signs of a significant slowdown on social media platforms.

Betty Buzz has not posted on Instagram since 5 April, while Betty Booze last shared an update on 28 September; both accounts were previously much more active. Despite these concerns, the drinks have not disappeared from retail shelves yet.

The Betty Booze website remains fully operational with its ready-to-drink cocktails listed, and retailers continue to stock the products for consumers. Industry analysts are closely monitoring the situation to see if this is a temporary lull or a permanent shift.

Whether the actress is scaling back her involvement or preparing for a strategic pivot remains unclear at this stage. The beverage industry is notoriously competitive, and celebrity-backed brands often face intense scrutiny regarding their long-term viability.

Blake Lively has previously been praised for her hands-on approach to her business ventures. Fans and investors alike are waiting for an official statement from the actress or her management team.

Until then, the status of the Betty brand remains a subject of intense speculation in Hollywood circles. As the market evolves, many celebrity entrepreneurs find themselves balancing their acting careers with the demands of running a consumer goods company.

This situation highlights the complexities of maintaining a brand in a saturated market. For now, the products remain available for purchase, providing a glimmer of stability for the brand's loyal customer base.

The coming months will likely reveal whether the company can regain its momentum or if it will indeed fade away.
