Brittany Snow once found herself living in an Airbnb with nothing but her dog for company after her marriage ended. Now, the actress says she wouldn't change that difficult chapter - because it helped her find a different kind of love.
Appearing on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, the Pitch Perfect star reflected on her divorce from Selling the OC personality Tyler Stanaland and admitted she's reached an unexpected place of acceptance. "I can't believe I'm grateful for my divorce."
She also remembered the uncertainty of starting over at 37. "I was 37 and I was living in an Airbnb, just staring at my dog being like, I don't know what's going to happen.
It's just you and me, kiddo," she recalled. "We're going to try to rebuild this."
Support from friends helped her through the transition, particularly hearing from other women who had rebuilt their lives later in life. Snow and Stanaland married in March 2020 and announced their separation in September 2022.
Their divorce was finalized in 2023. She later discussed how his Selling the OC co-stars had affected her marriage, saying their relationships took up too much of her emotional energy.
The transition from a high-profile marriage to single life required immense resilience and personal growth for the Hollywood star. She noted that stepping away from a stagnant dynamic allowed her to focus on her personal well-being.
Reflecting on her journey, Snow emphasized that time heals deep emotional wounds and provides valuable perspective. She encourages others facing similar life disruptions to embrace the unknown with courage.
Fans and followers flooded social media with supportive messages following her candid interview, praising her honesty and vulnerability regarding personal struggles. As she continues to take on exciting new professional projects, Snow remains optimistic about her future, both in her career and in her personal life.
Her openness serves as a powerful reminder that unexpected endings can often pave the way for fulfilling new beginnings.
