The minister emphasized that the facility will become operational immediately following the official inauguration. He noted that the project was a long-standing requirement for the capital, and its completion marks a significant milestone for the interior ministry.

Speaking to journalists during the visit, Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that the new jail has been constructed according to the highest international standards. He assured that all provided facilities within the premises meet modern requirements for security and inmate management.

He further reiterated the current government's commitment to reforming the prison system across the country. The minister stressed that the focus remains on ensuring the protection of human rights for all inmates while maintaining strict security protocols.

The project, which faced numerous delays over the past 17 years, is expected to alleviate overcrowding issues and provide a more structured environment for rehabilitation. The administration has expressed satisfaction with the pace of work in the final stages.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry also praised the efforts of the construction teams and the ministry officials for ensuring the project's completion. He stated that the government is dedicated to providing better infrastructure for the capital's administrative needs.
