Gold prices fell by Rs3,500 per tola in the local market on Thursday, following a downward trend in the international market. Market insiders noted that the fluctuation reflects ongoing global economic shifts and investor adjustments toward safer assets.

Internationally, gold rates dropped by $35 to stand at $2,605 per ounce. Domestic bullion prices are traditionally adjusted by incorporating a $20 premium to align with international benchmarks and logistical costs.
In contrast to the precious yellow metal, silver prices experienced an upward movement during the same trading session. Silver rates increased by Rs50 to reach Rs3,329 per tola, while 10-gram silver gained Rs43 to settle at Rs2,853.
