Joanna Page reveals the secret to a happy 23-year marriage

Joanna Page has opened up about balancing her career with raising her four children alongside her actor husband, James Thornton. The 47-year-old actress has been with James for 23 years, and the couple shares four children: Eva, 13, Kitt, 11, Noah, nine, and Boe, four.

The Gavin & Stacey star praised her husband for his support in managing household responsibilities while she is at work. Speaking to The Daily Mail, she remarked: "My husband is fantastic and he runs a tight ship with a perfect routine."

However, even if you are away for just one day a week, you always experience 'mum guilt' because you want to be there with them. She added: "For the last month, I have been working away.

While it is fine for a bit, eventually you see the routine start to slip, and the children say, 'Oh mummy, we are ready for you to come back now,' and I feel ready to return too." Page emphasized her desire to be present for every moment of her children's lives.

"I want to be there all the time, doing everything myself, as I rarely believe anyone else can do it as well as I can, even though my husband is brilliant," she admitted. Despite her high standards, she acknowledges the necessity of delegation.

"Occasionally, I have to let him handle things because I simply do not have the time. It is a constant learning process for us as a family," she noted.

The couple's long-standing relationship is often cited as a success story in the entertainment industry. Page credits their longevity to mutual respect and constant communication.

She highlighted that maintaining a balance between professional commitments and personal life is never easy, but having a supportive partner makes all the difference. The actress continues to balance her filming schedules with her family life, ensuring that her children remain her top priority.

Fans have lauded her for being transparent about the struggles of working mothers, noting that her honesty makes her more relatable. As she looks toward the future, Page remains committed to both her craft and her family, proving that a successful career and a happy home life can coexist with the right support system.
